Remote Rehearsal Spaces – Fall 2020
In Fall 2020, orchestras faced difficulty integrating Covid-19 protocols into rehearsals. Seeking a solution, I developed an audio-over-Ethernet system in the Burr and Burton Academy Performing Arts building, which allowed musicians to rehearse and perform live from separate locations. By utilizing Dante Software to provide ultra-low latency connections, I enabled real-time, lag-free audio transmission, allowing seamless collaboration despite physical separation. This project played a crucial role in maintaining performance opportunities during a time of social distancing, demonstrating the power of networked audio solutions in live music environments.
Black Bell Concert Series – Early Spring 2020
In early 2020, I launched the Black Bell Concert Series, an intimate live music experience hosted at the Burr and Burton Academy Mountain Campus. I managed all aspects of concert production, including artist booking, advancing, logistics, and settlement, ensuring smooth execution from planning to performance. The series featured acclaimed artists such as Sam Moss and Ayden Crispe, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere for audiences in a scenic, remote setting. Though the series was cut short due to the pandemic, this project allowed me to develop hands-on experience in event production, artist relations, and live sound management while fostering a vibrant music community.
